Les Miles takes his recruiting seriously.
So seriously that he offered a 14-year-old middle school football player after he attended one of the LSU camps recently.
Dylan Moses came to the camp in July and impressed the coaching staff with a 4.46 40-yard dash. He was so impressive that the coaching staff came to his father and told him they were offering the rising eighth-grader.
You read that right.
Eighth grade.
This young man seems to be a physical specimen at such a young age. Not only did he run a 4.46 40-yard dash, he currently stands 6'0" tall and weighs 205 pounds. He also had a 9'3" broad jump and has a 34-inch vertical leap.
How many young kids dream of getting a college scholarship, much less before they even attend high school? It's easy to see why Les Miles went ahead and offered the young man.
He's got all the measurables and should be expected to grow and get better. If this young man keeps working, he could be a top college prospect in the class of 2017.
Les Miles went ahead and got the jump on him.
Smart man.
