Tuesday Power Polls

Today will start the ninth edition of the weekly SECJams tradition of the Power Polls. We’ll give you the power rankings of whatever we feel like that week. Basketball during basketball season, football during football, we might even rank the hotness of SEC girls in the crowd. This weekly poll will be the talk of your friends. The ninth edition of the power poll will be SEC men's basketball teams from top to bottom.

Week 9: SEC Men’s Basketball

1. Kentucky (25-1) (11-0) – The Cats are rolling, winning 17 straight games. (Previous Week #1)

2. Florida (19-6) (7-3) – The Gators have lost two in a row, but stay at number two with no teams pushing them. (Previous Week #2)

3. Mississippi State (19-6) (6-4) – State loses to Georgia in OT, but stays at number 3. (Previous Week #4)

4. Vanderbilt (17-8) (6-4) – The Dores’ have lost three of their last four, but played Kentucky tough at home. (Previous Week #3)

5. Tennessee (13-12) (5-5) – The Vols are playing like Coach Martin wants, three straight wins have the Vols dangerous. (Previous Week #8)

6. Arkansas (17-8) (5-5) – The Hogs are still winless on the road, and will be tested at Tennessee on Wednesday. (Previous Week #6)

7.  Ole Miss (15-9) (5-5) – The Rebels bounce back from two straight losses to beat Auburn on Saturday. (Previous Week #5)

8. Alabama (16-8) (5-5) – The Tide is in trouble with three starters suspended until further notice by Coach Grant. (Previous Week #7)

9. LSU (14-10) (4-6) – LSU is coming off a win over Alabama to hold on to the nine spot. (Previous Week #9)

10. Georgia (12-12) (3-7) – With a win over State, we will let the Bulldogs out of the cellar for a week. (Previous Week #11) 

11. Auburn (13-12) (3-8) – Auburn has lost three straight to make their way to the cellar for a week. (Previous Week #10)

12. South Carolina (9-15) (1-9) – The poor Gamecocks cannot find a way to win. (Previous Week #12)
