Tuesday Power Polls

Today will start the fourth edition of the weekly SECJams tradition of the Power Polls. We’ll give you the power rankings of whatever we feel like that week. Basketball during basketball season, football during football, we might even rank the hotness of SEC girls in the crowd. This weekly poll will be the talk of your friends. The fourth edition of the power poll will be SEC men's basketball teams from top to bottom.

Week 4: SEC Men’s Basketball

1. Kentucky (15-1) (1-0) – The Cats still have a strong hold on the top spot winning seven straight games. (Previous Week #1)

2. Arkansas (12-3) (1-0) – The Razorbacks proved they belonged starting SEC play with a dominating performance over Mississippi State. (Previous Week #5)  

3. Vanderbilt (11-4) (1-0) – The Dores’ are on a five game winning streak and playing back to preseason expectations. (Previous Week #4)

4. Alabama (12-3) (1-0) – Anthony Grant has his Crimson Tide 1-0 in the SEC and on a four game winning streak. (Previous Week #6)

5. LSU (11-4) (1-0) – The Tigers had a tough loss to a ranked Virginia team, but bounced back nicely against Ole Miss.  (Previous Week #7)

6. Mississippi State (13-3) (0-1) – The Bulldogs got knocked out in a fist fight with the Razorbacks, and have hot Tennessee coming in on Thursday. (Previous Week #2)

7. Florida (12-4) (0-1) – The Gators looked like they did not want to be in Rocky Top on Saturday and the Vols gave them their first loss. (Previous Week #3)

8. Tennessee (8-7) (1-0) – The Vols finally looked like the team we watched in Hawaii with strong defense. The Vols have a tough road ahead with Miss. State and Kentucky looming. (Previous Week #11)

9. Auburn (10-5) (0-1) – Auburn started the season on a roll and has since faded, and they have Kentucky on Wednesday so they better find their form. (Previous Week #8)

10. Georgia (9-6) (0-1) – The Bulldogs have been Jekyll and Hyde all year, and were more Hyde against the Crimson Tide to open league play. (Previous Week #9)  

11. Ole Miss (10-5) (0-1) – We still have not figured out how this Ole Miss team has ten wins this year. (Previous Week #10)

12. South Carolina (8-7) (0-1) – The Gamecocks got a rough draw opening league play against the Kentucky Wildcats, maybe they will rebound tonight against the Dores’. (Previous Week #12)
