Day 3 of The 12 days of Christmas

On the Third Day of Christmas my true love sent to me: 3 Bowl wins for Venderbilt, 2 New Teams, and One Rematch

Yes you heard that right, Santa is going to bring the Commodores of Vanderbilt their third bowl win ever. When researching the 12 days of a SEC Christmas, we were shocked to discover that the mighty Vanderbilt Commodores only have two bowl wins in their history. Don't let that number fool you. It is not like the Commodores have a losing record in bowl games, they have only been to four and are 2-1-1 all time. So Santa decided to be good to the Dores and coach James Franklin this year gifting them with a third bowl win over the Bearcats of Cincinnati in the Liberty Bowl. The 2011 season concludes with the fifth ever appearance in a bowl and their first in the Liberty Bowl. The game will be played in Memphis, Tennessee at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium on December 31st at 3:30 on ABC. The Dores look to put the finishing touches on what has been a fantastic season under their first year head coach. Franklin came in and resurrected theprogram by being a showman, recruiting, winning games, and fighting with opposing coaches. Franklin hasn't been afraid to ruffle some feathers and grab the microphone while becoming a hated man across the SEC. Why does this matter? It matters because this is the 16th of December and we are still talking about Vanderbilt, even more we are talking about possibly winning their third bowl game in the programs history. This is exactly what James Franklin needed to do to make his Commodores relevant in the SEC. Even thought Franklin might be on Santa's Naughty list, he decided to reward the Dores with a bowl win. So on this third day of Christmas our true love has given Vanderbilt a bowl win. Your Welcome Dores.
