Missouri is very, very excited to be transitioning to the SEC this summer. But they still have some unsettled business in the BIG XII. This week (Jan 30-Feb 5) is a very important week if you bleed black and gold.

Monday Jan 30: The Tigers traveled down to Austin, Texas looking for the season sweep in round robin play against good ol' Bevo. Road wins are not something that Mizzou fans are used to in recent past under Coach Mike Anderson. But Frank Haith has this team playing like a well oiled machine heading into the heart of conference play. 6th man of the year candidate, Mike Dixon Jr., almost cost them the game down the stretch with a flagrant foul, 40 seconds later he won it. Dixon's layup with 31 seconds left gave No. 4 Missouri the lead and Marcus Denmon's rebound after a final miss by Texas' Myck Kabango sealed a tough 67-66 victory for the Tigers.

"In the heat of battle things happen," Dixon said. "You just have to look at the next play."

Wednesday Feb 1: Tiger fans get a break from basketball, and tune in to National Signing Day coverage in hopes of the almighty Dorial Green-Beckham putting on the Mizzou cap and making our transition to the SEC much, much smoother. This is exactly what happened, Dorial thanks his family, friends, coaches, teammates, and everyone who was involved in his recruiting process and gives Mizzou Nation something to boast and brag about for years to come. Dorial will make an immediate impact, due to his 6'6 220 pound frame, causing mismatches across the board. I'm sure Arkansas fans didn't approve of his decision, but that just adds to the rivalry waiting to erupt in the SEC.

Saturday Feb 4: Every Mizzou fan knows what is happening on this day. Bill Self and his #8 kansas jayhawks stroll into Columbia to face #4 Mizzou for one of the biggest college basketball games of the year. College Gameday will be there, which will have Mizzou Arena packed in the early morning. (There were students lined up at the doors on Thursday afternoon) So it's safe to say there will not be a lack of excitement. As for kU, it will be living hell inside of that arena Saturday night, as the Zou Crew and the beloved Antlers will create an almost impossible environment to play in (for the beakers that is)

2/3 accomplished, kU... you're next.
