Day 8 of the 12 Days of Christmas

On the 8th day of Christmas my true love sent to me; 8 Bowl Wins for the SEC, 7 Happy Coaches, 6 in a Row, 5 Men’s Basketball NCAA Tournament invites, 4 National Championships for LSU, 3 Bowl Wins for Vandy, 2 New Teams, and One Rematch

The SEC has 9 teams that are currently bowling, and Santa is giving 8 of them a bowl win this Christmas. These nine teams include; Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Arkansas, Alabama, and LSU. We must point out that the possibility of 8 wins for the SEC comes with the rematch of the National Championship including two of the nine teams. The SEC will make history if Santa’s gift comes true and the SEC can win all 8 bowl games. The guys in Vegas are projecting the SEC to win 8, as well as SEC teams being favored in all 8 games. The SEC’s bowl season will officially start on December 30, 2011 and run thru the National Championship game on January 9, 2012.

The Cotton Bowl lucked out and got a great matchup between two teams that should be playing each other in the Sugar Bowl. Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX should be sold out for this one and the Vegas Insiders really like the Hogs and have them favored by 8.5.

 LSU (13-0) vs. Alabama (11-1)- January 9, 2012 8:30 P.M. EST ESPN

The BCS National Championship got the rematch of a lifetime. When the New Orleans Superdome hosts the Tigers in any fashion you can expect a huge party, but do not be surprised if there are just as many Crimson Tide fans there looking for the same thing. Vegas Insiders currently have the game as a “pick em’”. That is a look at the SEC bowl season in a flash. Santa is looking to make 8 SEC teams have a very Happy New Year, and for that last game Santa only guaranteed a SEC win.
