6 in a Row for Day 6!
Day 6 of the 12 Days of Christmas!
On the sixth day of Christmas my true love sent to me: 6 Straight National Championships for the SEC, 5 SEC teams into March Madness, 4 National Championships for LSU, 3 bowl wins for Vandy, 2 New teams, and one rematch.
Santa has been really generous and added to the SEC's dominance. This year he has guaranteed a sixth straight National Championship for the SEC. The streak started five years ago with the 2006 Florida Gators. The Gators defeated Ohio State 41-14 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona and paved the way to the six straight BCS National Championship. LSU was the next in 2007 where they also beat an Ohio State buckeye team. This time it was a 38-24 game at the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The third straight came from Tim Teabow and the Florida Gators. Florida won their second championship in the BCS is era with a win over Oklahoma, 24-14 at Sunlife Stadium in Miami, Florida. The fourth championship went to Alabama Crimson Tide. That win was a 37-21 win over Texas at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The fifth championship resides in Auburn, Alabama. The Tigers led by Cam Newton, defeated Oregon 22-19 back were it all started at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. This brings us to the sixth straight BCS National Championship game. The BCS guaranteed the SEC with their sixth straight win by giving the country a rematch between #1 LSU vs. #2 Alabama. So, on Januaray 9, 2012 in the New Orleans Superdome, the SEC will take home number six and no matter if it is Roll Tide or Geaux Tiger the SEC wins again.
